About the Event
The Festival of the Leaves is a day of arts and culture in honor and centering our migrant farm workers community. The festival is community and grant supported and is free to the community! Please bring everyone you know, for the whole day, or just for part of it! Poeple will begin to arrive around 10 am for our first featured artist, Kenay Lazuli, who will be facilitiating an art workshop for folks interested in new techniques for making art in an atainable way! We will then break for lunch and get to enjoy some farm fresh simple delights, while listening to a couple of regenerative agriculture experts explain the ins and outs of what regen ag actually is and how we can implement some of these technigues in our everyday lives. In the afternoon Rajnii Eddins, a burlington based poet will have host a spoken word workshop and reading for us to enjoy. Ms Gail from the Bradford Public Library will be hosting childrens events through out the day so bring the kiddos as thisis a whoe family event! Come evening Chef Saybe will produce another fantastic farm to plate buffet of more traditional Latin food for a spectacular dinner feast. Bohio Music will be gracing our presence with their souldful and funky Vaudou Jazz Fusion sounds to get us moving and grooving and feeing good!
